So it's finally here...almost. I'm 26 and according to my plans I should be married with 2 kids by now but I guess God has other plans since neither has come to pass. I reflect on how far this island girl has come and I marvel at how good God has been to me. I am in training to be a scientist...who would have thunk it. A girl from from a small rural community in the recesses of a small island working at one of the best research universities in the US under the mentorship of some of the brightest in their field....I'm blessed!!!
I am thankful for how far I've come and everyone who has contributed to my life and success thus far. My mom has been my rock and I will be forever indebted to her. To my girlfriends (and guyfriends) who have walked this journey with me, physically and spiritually, I say thanks.
Now I'm off to do some science.
